To ensure the AB190 stands out from the crowd, Bach has spent a lot of time finely tuning it to make sure it offers the best possible experience. First of all, the bell on the Artisan trumpet was made using special acoustic treatment as well as a flat rim. These two features result in a beautiful Bach sound with a wide range of tonal colour.
Obviously Bach added some additional features as a scintillating flare. These consist of the enhanced radius ferrules, a 3rd valve tone enhancing ring, a set of both brass and plastic valve guides, 1st slide split ring, and an extended low F rod stop. For the perfect finish, the Bach Artisan AB190 features deluxe engraving on the bell.
Great for all-around playing
What really makes the Bach Artisan AB190 stand out is the two-piece valve casting construction. This style of construction is reminiscent of the original Mount Vernon trumpets produced in the late 60s. Because of how the manufacturing technology advanced, all trumpets since then have featured a one-piece valve construction.
This two-piece construction is two-thirds brass and one-third nickel-silver. This mix of materials provides you with a quick response, better feedback from the instrument, and an overall larger core sound. The valves in the trumpet are crafted from monel which is a nickel and copper alloy. Monel valves are found in all Stradivarius trumpets as they are smooth, resistant to corrosion, and hardwearing.
Quality American construction
All trumpets in the Artisan collection are handmade in America by highly skilled craftspeople and artisans. The AB190 is constructed from high-quality yellow brass which is the most popular material for trumpets. This is because yellow brass produces a very versatile tone that can be performed in a variety of different musical environments. Once the AB190 has been constructed, it is finished in a bright silver plate to keep the instrument looking newer for longer.
