A unique and powerful tool, Twangstrom can deliver a huge amount of versatile reverb effects with interesting textures and details. A faithful emulation of classic reverb tanks and devices, Twangstrom gives you the tools to tailor your reverbs to exactly the way you need them to fit well in your mix. A multi-mode filter, drive and tone circuit, internal LFO, envelope generator and sophisticated modulation matrix are all present to edit parameters in real-time with immense detail to shape and sculpt your tone.
Conventional reverb effects plugins may use impulse response technology to generate real-life reverb sounds from existing places whereas Twangstrom uses physical modelling to mimic the mechanical movement of reverb chambers. Instead of providing you with a snapshot in time, Twangstrom simulates the physical device to provide you with real-time micro-adjustments that cause the sound to change. By simulating these movements, Twangstrom can include parameters such as reflection, dispersion, interference and other audio properties, making for a much more detailed reverb and authentic sound in your mixes.
No vintage reverb is complete without the classic spring noise, so Twangstrom has included it with the twang control. Vibrate the springs manually or through automation and modulation to get a completely unique sound that's unachievable through any typical editing, making it the perfect option for the avid sound-designer looking for an unconventional method of generating unique reverbs.
Perfect the attack and decay of your reverb to help it sit within your mix with the right amount of reverb tail. Four different modes can pick up the signal from either your input, output or external sidechain for parallel processing with another instrument in your mix. Choose from Envelope follower, Attack and Decay, Attack and Release or Cyclic modes to find what's best for your input source and desired outcome. Use Attack and Decay mode for percussive instruments with lots of attack but no sustain such as a snare drum to add the additional depth to help it jump out from your speakers!
