Advanced spectral balancing
An indispensable tool for music producers, True:Balance is all about creating a clear and cohesive mix by providing you with key information on your spectral distribution. Designed to allow you to monitor the frequency response of your track against common responses found in a myriad of genres, you can identify frequency areas of your mix which don't comply with the target reference, to make better mixing decisions to meet the listening expectations of your audience. Perfect for mixing and mastering engineers, True:Balance offers a variety of key readouts, not just based on frequency but also on stereo width and mono compatibility, enabling you to correct for any potential issues when exporting your track before being played back on mono systems.
Wherever a non-ideal listening environment or non-studio grade equipment is used in the mixing or mastering process, difficulty in hearing the details of your sound will be present. Using True:Balance is a streamlined and simple way to let Sonible analyse your audio and point to any potential frequency or stereo problems you may not be able to hear as a result of these factors, ensuring you never need to second guess yourself again. For beginner engineers, this delivers the perfect solution to creating competitive, cohesive and clear mixes that won't sound out of place on a playlist.
Referenced-based monitoring
Since getting your sound "right" depends on the genre and expectations of your audience, True:Balance is powered by genre-specific based references to compare your mix or master against. Drawing from a collection of audio data and hands-on mixing experience, True:Balance encompasses a variety of musical genre references for you to monitor your spectrum balance against. Everything from acoustic, electronic, jazz, Latin, pop, metal and much more provide key insight as to whether your track is meeting the listening expectations of the genre.
Of course, you can load up to eight audio files as reference tracks as well. Ideal if you're looking to emulate the spectrum balance of a specific target mix or mixing engineer's style and to create consistency across multiple tracks within a project.
Presented in three, user-definable bands, True:Balance can tell you whether your spectrum distribution is consistent with common genre references and will even tell you by how much level your audio is different. Perfect for rectifying any mistakes in key areas such as your low-end, True:Balance will help you to create a more cohesive and balanced mix just by listening!
In signature Sonible fashion, True:Balance encompasses a streamlined interface which makes complex processes easy. When a chosen reference is selected, a reference zone is automatically created with target indicators all while ensuring each readout is visible to eliminate any menu-diving. For more control over your interface, True:Balance lets you choose between three options for the speed and resolution of your frequency analysis and the average frequency spectrum to work with your track and workflow.
Comprehensive metering tools
Advanced tools make this the ideal partner for professional studios and bedroom producers. A "Balance Check" switch automatically analyses the current spectral distribution and compares this to your reference, providing you with text-based solutions on what levels need adjusting. Additionally, a "Mono Check" switch will listen to the mono compatibility of your music to ensure there are no potential issues when exporting your track.
Moreover, True:Balance encompasses a Channel Data section, highlighting the stereo width of each of the three user-defined frequency bands. Ideal for creating a clear and balanced mix, this will let you know when to remove excessive frequencies from the stereo spectrum. Correlation readouts are also included, showing the similarity between two signals and any potential out-of-phase components that may lead to phase cancellations when summed to mono when exporting.
