The Frap Tools CGM Creative Mixer is designed to reproduce the features and functions of a professional quality studio mixer. Pro-grade audio is the top priority of the CGM Creative Mixer, delivering exceptional sound in a compact modular format. Comprised of three modules - Channel, Group, and Master - the CGM Creative Mixer system replicated the functions of studio mixers in a compact 6HP (per module) format that can be expanded or condensed to your heart's desire. The Groups module features a wide array of functions and can manage up to 8 Channel modules from a single unit.
With flexibility being one of the key aspects of the CGM's design, the mixer system comes as separate modules designed to provide an array of functions and features that are present in a studio-grade mixer. The flexibility comes in the form of a 'module' that is modular in itself. The CGM is split into three separate modules - Channel, Group, and Master. Each module is 6HP in width, with each carrying out different jobs that are from different parts of a mixer. The Channel module works as a top-class VCA with a final volume pot. If you add a Group, you can take advantage of two send/return sections with a stereo output. Multiple Channels can be added to a Group for making use of the Mute and Solo functions. Adding a Master allows you to use your headphones with the Main Out, the PFL, or even mix between them. The Master also allows you to manage multiple Channel_Group configurations. Each master module can manage up to 4 Groups, whilst each Group can mange up to 8 Channels, providing the potential for a 32-channel mixer with 8 send/return sections in a personalized modular format.
The CGM Creative Mixer system provides you with a Solo Safe function, which is fundamental in live performances. The Solo Safe switch allows you to keep the Solo buttons of the Channel connected to a Group deactivated, meaning you can avoid accidentally activating them. This is perfect for preparing the different Channels that you wish to put in Solo mode in advance, whilst using the Solo Safe switch as a master control.
PFL is a must for any mixing situation, and the CGM provides this function perfectly. When activated on the Groups, it puts the sum of the connected Channels and of both stereo returns into the PFL channels. The Master channel features a blend control between PFL (blue) and the main output signals (white), allowing you to change what you're hearing in your headphones on the fly.
The CGM Groups module manages all of the incoming signal from the connected Channel modules, including their send/return signals. Since you're able to use up to 4 groups in conjunction with a single Master, you can take advantage of a total of 8 different send/return sections. The CGM system also provides you with plenty of VCAs, with VCAs over and send, and stereo VCAs over both green and yellow returns
