The Revv Tilt Boost Shawn Tubbs Signature Pedal is all you need to harness the full growling potential of your amp. Serving up to 20db of clean boost, the Revv Tilt can take your tone from a gentle lift for extra presence, to a colossal roar that pushes your amp with saturation. Once you've settled on your levels, you can quickly shape up the sound using the award-winning Tilt EQ circuitry to shift from thin and glassy to warm and rounded.
In conjunction with the Tilt EQ setting is a three-position Tight switch to sculpt the EQ profile to your preferred taste. It can either half the low frequencies or cut them completely, great for trimming unwanted boom when cranking your amp. Speaking of cranking, if you've got your amp to a nice spot but need a little extra juice for breakup distortion, the Drive switch will inject extra clipping to give your tone a searing edge - perfect for lead work. When Shawn and Revv released the original Tilt Overdrive, they found that pro players would essentially leave the boost and Tilt EQ circuit on permanently. The Revv Tilt Boost is that same sought-after circuit lifted straight from the Overdrive and given its own space.
But it isn't just a straight copy! Shawn has customised it further by increasing the boost to 20dB and installing the Drive switch for an extra nudge of clipping.
Boost and Tilt EQ combo
Transparent boosts can sometimes get a thicker low end that bloats your tone, ultimately masking your notes and playing. That isn't an issue on the Tilt Boost, as you've got a Tilt EQ dial and "Tight" switch to cut out any unwanted low end. Engage these options to remove half the low frequencies or cut them completely! This will move your mids into greater prominence which is ideal for solos. But if heavy, thick tones are more your style, you can leave these untouched to retain all the bass you want.
