An all-valve construction
Equipped with two ECC83 preamp valves, one phase splitter, and two 5881s, the Marshall ST20H combo is renowned for producing incredible sound quality that has been recognised by musicians worldwide. Its preamps amplify the incoming signal and imbue it with warmth and richness, providing a three-dimensional sound that is characteristic of Marshall amps.
After amplification, the signal is divided into two by the phase splitter valve, which is then sent to the power valves. These 5881s are responsible for increasing the amplitude of the signal and then directing it to the speakers, producing a classic Marshall tone that is famous throughout the world. They deliver rich and warm tones even at high volume levels while retaining clarity and definition, ensuring that the sound produced remains focused and crisp. Discover the ideal sound for both practice, stage, and studio performance.
Shape your tone with precision

Thanks to its highly responsive controls, you can dial in the perfect tone for your playing style. The all-valve design produces rich and responsive sounds that react to your playing dynamics. Professional-grade features and exceptional sound quality.
The JTM legacy
The Marshall JTM series is an iconic line of amplifiers that played a vital role in shaping the sound of rock music. Introduced in the mid-1960s, these amps quickly became popular among guitarists due to their unique tone and appearance. The JTM was the first amplifier designed by Jim Marshall, who wanted to create an amp that could deliver the American tones with more gain and distortion.
This amp quickly gained popularity as it provided guitarists with the ability to produce a raw and aggressive sound that had not been heard before. It became a favourite among musicians such as Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Pete Townshend, and many others, who used it to achieve their signature sounds. It is also notable for its gold plexiglass front panel and distinct control layout that have become synonymous with the Marshall brand.
Over the years, the JTM underwent several modifications, and newer models were introduced. Still, the original design remains highly sought after by guitarists looking to achieve that classic Marshall sound. Thanks to its rich history and massive contributions to music, the Marshall JTM has become an iconic piece of equipment that is widely recognised as one of the most influential amplifiers ever made.
