Effortless playability
The Fender Player II Modified Telecaster is designed for a smooth and comfortable playing experience. The Modern “C”-shaped maple neck features a satin urethane finish that eliminates stickiness, allowing your hand to glide effortlessly across the fretboard. With a 9.5” radius fingerboard, medium jumbo frets, and hand-rolled edges, this Tele feels broken-in from day one. Bending notes, playing fast runs, or strumming complex chords all feel natural and comfortable. The combination of a classic Tele body shape and modern refinements makes this an incredibly easy guitar to pick up and play for hours on end.
Versatile pickup configuration
This Telecaster isn’t limited to one sound—it’s built for a wide range of tones. The Player II Modified humbucker in the neck delivers a warm, articulate response with plenty of output for lead playing and thick rhythm tones. If you want a classic Tele neck single-coil sound, a push/pull switch on the tone knob splits the humbucker, giving you crisp, defined single-coil tones in an instant. The bridge pickup is a Player II Noiseless Tele, which retains the twang and bite of a traditional Tele but without the unwanted hum. Together, these pickups offer a rich sonic palette that covers blues, rock, country, jazz, and more.
Upgraded hardware for tuning stability
Fender has equipped the Player II Modified Telecaster with premium hardware to ensure exceptional tuning stability. Short post locking tuners keep your strings securely in place while improving break angles over the nut for better sustain and intonation. The Graph Tech TUSQ nut enhances clarity and resonance while minimising friction, helping strings return to pitch even after aggressive bends. A modern string tree keeps your high strings in check, reducing friction and maintaining tuning accuracy. No matter how you play—bending, fingerpicking, or digging into heavy chords—this guitar stays in tune and ready to perform.
Modern bridge for sustain and feel
The updated Tele bridge on this model is designed for both tonal clarity and playability. Featuring six block brass saddles, the bridge enhances sustain and allows for precise intonation adjustments, ensuring every note rings true. The cutaway bridge plate provides more room for picking, perfect for hybrid picking or intricate lead work. Clean tones, overdriven leads, and effect-heavy sounds all benefit from the resonance and balance this bridge offers. It’s a modern refinement that enhances the Telecaster’s legendary performance while maintaining its classic aesthetic.
