Three modes!
This digital unit is inspired by the 1970s CE-1 Chorus Ensemble pedal and has been carefully tweaked to give you an all-encompassing chorus and vibrato experience. Choose from Vibrato Mode, Chorus Mode, and Rotary Mode and manipulate their Width, Rate, and Balance to achieve your ideal sound.
Mode V: Vibrato
Mode V is a chorus effect with a triangle LFO modulating a short delay line, producing a familiar traditional chorus that leans towards vibrato. The Balance control can remove the dry signal to turn the effect into a pitch vibrato. The Width control determines the amplitude of the LFO and the range of the pitch modulation, while the Rate control adjusts the speed of the LFO.
Mode C: Chorus
Mode C, also known as chorus-flanger blend, offers a warmer and slower sound compared to Mode V. The delay line is modulated by a sine wave LFO, resulting in a unique and prominent effect. The Width control is a significant feature of this mode, as it determines the prominence of the modulation type. Adjusting the Width control changes the amplitude of the LFO and affects the pitch modulation, with higher settings having a more noticeable flanging effect. When the Width control passes the midpoint, feedback is gradually added to enhance the flanging effect. In addition, the Rate control alters the speed of the LFO, while the Balance control adjusts the level of the modulated signal. Increase the Balance control for a more prominent effect in Mode C.
Mode R: Rotary Chorus
Mode R is a rotary chorus that accurately replicates the sound of a Leslie speaker cabinet. It uses a combination of amplitude and frequency modulation to create a unique Doppler effect. The Width control plays a significant role in Mode R by determining the amplitude of the LFO, controlling the pitch modulation's width. Lower Width settings enhance the lower "woofer" frequencies, while higher settings enhance the higher "horn" frequencies.
Additionally, the Rate control adjusts the LFO's speed. The Balance control, on the other hand, is responsible for adjusting the wet/dry balance of the signal in Mode R. Turning the Balance control clockwise emphasizes the subfrequency effect, resulting in a more pronounced and pulsing sound.
Six programmable presets
With the simple tap of the Preset (“Save/Recall”) switch, you can summon up to six settings of your choosing at will. And by popular demand, this pedal is also equipped with an expression control so you can use any TRS expression pedal to control your sound.
