Doublenecks rose to prominence in progressive rock and metal music in the 70s and 80s. They provided a solution to a problem when artists would be playing complex and tonally diverse tracks that often lasted for more than 10 minutes, but didn't allow for time to have a change over from one guitar to another. Now you too can achieve the same tonal versatility and push the boundaries of music. B.C. Rich has designed this guitar with comfort and playability in mind meaning you never feel hindered while changing between necks and an intuitive layout means you can switch tones in an instant.
Duncan Designed HB-103's
The Duncan Designed HB-103 pickups pay homage to the SH-6 Duncan Distortion set. These powerful pickups thrive on high output tone and offer full range crunch and balanced harmonics that work perfectly alongside the Legacy Doubleneck, collaborating to create dynamics and texture for an experience like nothing else. They provide perfect versatility, so you can be performing intricate melodic solos with full distortion one moment and then playing full chords with light drive and chorus the next.
You're also introduced to a new world of tones with the comprehensive tone-shaping options gifted by the controls on the Legacy Doubleneck including 5-position varitone filter knob, two coil tap switches and reverse phase switch meaning you're always able to get the perfect tone no matter the situation.
Neck-through-body construction
We've all been there, playing a solo and just wish you had that little bit more reach to get up to the higher regions of the fretboard. Often guitars have bolt-on or, glue-in necks which mean a heel gets in the way and can hold you back from expressing yourself fully. B.C. Rich has eliminated this problem offering you full access to the frets previously thought unreachable. Firstly, a neck-through-body design allows for one piece of wood to be used which then negates the need for a heel and allows you to get right up to where you need to be.
Not only that, but the aptly named 'Shredzilla' necks from B.C. Rich feature deep cut, ultra-slim contouring which offers next level reach compared to other manufacturers that use the neck-through-body design.
