The American Pro Stratocaster features a classic alder body with comfortable contours, producing a resonant and balanced tone with plenty of clarity. The alder also provides a comfortably light weight, ensuring guitarists can play all night long without shoulder strain. Fender have used alder as their tonewood of choice for electric guitars since the 1950's, as the balanced response and slight upper middle definition makes it perfect for rock and blues playing. The Stratocaster is finished in a Gloss Polyurethane coating along with an Olympic white colour, while classic Fender appointments such as aged white control knobs, angled headstock, and a 3-ply parchment pickguard finish the look.
This iconic guitar is paired with a Deep ''C'' maple neck designed for comfort and speed, delivering an incredible performance suitable to a wide variety of playing styles. Unlike other neck profiles, the Deep ''C'' features more substantial shoulders which creates a more natural feel in the player's hand, perfect for chords and single notes. Mounted with a maple fingerboard, players can achieve a snappy tone with a sizzling high end and firm lows.
Another addition to this model are the 22 narrow tall frets, which are mounted on the maple fingerboard and provide incredible comfort when performing slides. being slightly narrower than standard medium jumbo frets, the narrow tall frets are incredible effective for bending notes and playing chords with superb intonation.
A trio of incredibly powerful V-mod single coil pickups are the main feature of this guitar, designed with a blend of alnico magnets to deliver beautifully unique tones. Each pickup is voiced specifically for its position, delivering a full host of high-output tones along with vintage warmth and crisp clarity. In addition to this perfect trio, the American Professional also features a treble bleed circuit which maintains the high-end when played at low volumes. This is a particularly great feature for home practice when loud volume isn't permitted.
Along with the classic 2-Point Synchronised Tremolo, the Pro Strat is equipped with a pop-in tremolo arm which stays firmly in place regardless of how hard you play. The arm tension can also be adjusted to achieve perfect pitch bending effects, letting you deliver incredible pitch shifting effects and enhance your playing experience.
Along with its amazing tone and looks, the Stratocaster also features a bone nut to add to its classic aesthetic. The main purpose of using a bone nut, compared to modern materials, is the bone offers excellent resonance and sustain. A bone nut also delivers a very balanced tone, and will last a long time. In addition, this type of nut naturally self-lubricates and helps the guitar to stay in tune for longer.
The American Pro series of instruments are delivered in an elite moulded case, featuring body-hugging contours which holds the guitar firmly in place. TSA latches are also included for enhanced security and easy access. This durable case also features a stacking ability, for easy storage and transport.
When many people think of an electric guitar, this is the one that leaps to mind. The Stratocaster is one of the world's most popular guitars and is an elegantly versatile creation. Not long after Fender revolutionised music with the Telecaster and the Precision Bass, in 1954 they debuted the Stratocaster and it quickly became universally regarded as the archetypal electric guitar. Sleek and stylish aesthetics, smooth playing and tonally versatile, at the heart the Stratocaster remains a fantastic instrument - producing unmistakable sound with a timeless design. A first choice among players worldwide, there is simply nothing that sings, screams, whispers, moans, roars, rocks and rolls like a Fender Stratocaster.
