Key Features
The Intellijel Rainmaker is a complex 16-tap stereo rhythm delay and comb resonator providing a high quality sampling rate of kHz and 32-bit internal processing. A highly convenient feature of the Rainmaker is that each tap can be edited individually with functions such as pan, pitch, size and cutoff which is perfect for creating chaotic and weird delays. Furthermore, the comb resonator is a second delay section with up to 64 taps that produces a deep comb filter or resonating effect perfect for creating different resonator timbres or echo rhythms.
Nearly New: This product may have been opened for quality control purposes, returned by a customer, refurbished, or may have non-essential parts or software missing. Otherwise, the product operates as new. This is a great opportunity to buy a fully functioning product at a discounted price.

The Rainmaker offers a vast amount of functions for shaping and crafting complex, rhythmic delay patterns. Its delay section is very versatile, featuring 16 taps that can all be edited individually. A handy feature on the Rainmaker's delay section is that it allows you to also adjust all the parameters and edit in ramp mode. For example, you can adjust the ramp mode to decreasing and set your filter type to high pass so then the delay will gradually high pass frequencies throughout time. Another feature for each tap is that you can adjust the pitch shift ranging between 12 semitones and also adjust the high pass/low pass tone to create even more chaotic delays. Additionally, the delay that you've made can be clocked from an external source or you can use the grid function to keep your delays in time or even tap the tempo in yourself using the TEMPO button. Internal LFO is also available allowing you to modulate delay time through the use of the time modulator function. With this feature you can choose between different waveshapes of LFO and adjust the level and the rate. The helpful flashing LED enables you to see the rate of the LFO. The Intellijel Rainmaker's grain section allows you to set the quantity and size of the grains for granular pitch shifting.
The Intellijel Rainmaker's second segment is the comb resonator section which is another multi-tap delay. This section gives you the ability to use 1 to 64 taps instead that can produce a deep comb filter or resonating effect. The distance of the 64 taps can be adjustable via 16 preset patterns, which affect the timbre of the delay by generating multiple echo rhythms. The comb can also be set to comb size and with faster comb sizes you can get more of a resonator effect and also change the tone of the resonator effect with the different patterns and slopes available in the menu. In addition, there is a filter inserted into the feedback path with filters made to mimic resonant bodies such as guitar or sitar. Furthermore, the Rainmaker features a trigger input with assignable functionality that can trigger built in types of noise bursts, freeze delay, reverse delay, randomise parameters and much more.
The Intellijel Rainmaker is perfect for someone who enjoys experimenting, as this module provides an exceeding amount of functions and controls to create and modify delays or resonator effects. With just one sound, an endless amount of adjusting can be done to create a different range of timbres or delay sounds.
Each rainmaker is equipped with a set of 68 factory presets plus an additional 41 created by sound designer Richard Devine. Laser Mammoth is an online SysEx librarian where you can manage the Rainmaker's presets. Please see the manual for more on presets.
