Scarlett Solo is part of the top selling range of USB audio interfaces in the world. Four decades of analog equipment design goes into the quality Focusrite preamps.
Precision digital converters transform your live performance into studio-quality 24-bit resolution, at sample rates of up to 96kHz. Scarlett Solo allows you to record two tracks simultaneously with a microphone and an instrument input.
When inspiration strikes, plug straight into a fantastic quality DI that minimises the risk of distortion. Alternatively, switch to line level to instantly connect your mono analogue synth or outboard gear to the rest of your studio.
Sleek and lightweight enough to slip into your bag, the stunning aluminium chassis is also durable enough to endure life on the road. Whenever inspiration strikes, simply plug any instrument in and start recording. Simply plug into your Mac or PC via USB and start recording, without the need for a bulky power supply.
The unique halos around the gain knobs will turn from green to red if you get too loud, while the fantastic DI captures the quality of your instrument with minimal risk of distortion.
Connect your headphones and speakers to immerse yourself in Focusrite-quality sound, using the large volume dial to set the perfect level within a dynamic range of over 105dB. The slight delay between your singing and the sound of your voice in your headphones can be very distracting. Simply flick a switch to hear exactly what you're recording without any of this latency.
Inside the box you'll find all the software and sounds you need to record and mix music. This includes Ableton Live Lite, 1GB of Loopmasters sample content, the Novation Bass Station virtual instrument and Focusrite Scarlett plug-in suite.
sE Electronics Mics are a trusted favourite amongst professionals because of their industry knowledge and quality products. The SE2000 is one of the more affordable mics sE have in their range but the high quality is still evident. Using cutting edge production techniques to keep costs low sE Electronics are able to produce quality, entry level music gear as well as some of the most advanced microphones around.
The SE2000 MKII is ideal for vocal and acoustic instrument recording in the home and project studio environments. Designed to offer high quality results and exceptional value, this large diaphragm condenser microphone is a great home studio mic that won't break the bank or to use in places such as under the snare drum where you might not want to risk one of your more expensive mics.
The sE2000 is a cardioid pattern capacitor mic with a centre-terminated gold-sputtered (mylar diaphragm) capsule, low noise Class A FET circuitry and a transformer balanced output stage. A wide frequency response and subtle presence lift make it ideal for recording studio vocals and acoustic instruments. All sE mics are closely matched meaning they are ideal for stereo applications. It is worth noting that the sE2000 requires 48v Phantom Power which almost all audio interfaces with XLR inputs can provide.
For a more complete set-up you might be interested in the sE Electronics SE2000 bundle which comes with a boom stand and 3m cable.
Heart of Gold
At the heart of the SE2000 MKII Condenser Microphone is a gold-sputtered capsule, built by hand by skilled engineers in sE Electronics and thoroughly tested after every process. The mylar diaphragm is fitted and tightened by hand, with gold sputtering added to improve electrical performance. The careful capsule creation doesn't stop there, as each is tuned by hand to meet sE Electronics' high standards of quality.
"This is a good mic. It doesn't cost a lot, but it will more than do the job for the home producer. The slightly upped presence is nice and natural-sounding...If you're starting your studio and want to make an impact with your acoustic and vocal recordings, there's a lot to love in the SE Electronics SE2000."
