The Gallien Krueger MB 800 is a lightweight bass amp head that delivers 800 watts of power in a lightweight 2.2kg package. It is designed to be simple to use whilst delivering great flexibility in its application. With two foot switchable channels and multiple connections, the MB 800 is ready to be paired with the cabinet of your choice and start translating your bass guitar tones to the stage or the studio.
The MB 800 features a FET driven signal path to deliver a fat tonal response. The amp includes Gallien Kruegar's G.I.V.E (Gate Induced Valve Effect) Technology to provide a real valve-like response and pleasing tonality. It features multiple bass-specific EQ controls to easily tailor your sound to exactly how you require, and the preamp gain can be turned up to deliver a more overdriven sound. The variable Q equaliser ensures that the EQ retains a musical response even at extreme settings. A master limiter and -10db pad ensures that your signal won't clip, while the footswitchable channels (footswitch included) means you can swap between two different gain levels in an instant.
800 watts of power ensures that the MB 800 can cope with various cabinet sizes, depending on the volume level and projection that you require. The dual speaker outputs, line-out/headphone-out, and DI XLR allows you to use this amp with various speaker cabinets, headphones, or even as a direct send to a mixing desk or recording device. An FX loop provides the ability to use your own external effects devices and the tuner-out gives the ability to tune silently. These connections make the MB 800 ideal for a range of applications including gigging, rehearsing, recording and practising at home.
The MB 800 features illuminated controls for clear visibility in dark environments. The dual function controls have a different colour light so you can clearly see which mode you are currently operating in. The MB 800 also includes font-mounted bars for protection of the controls and switches, along with a temperature controlled fan ensuring that the cooling system only operates when absolutely necessary. The rugged metal chassis makes the MB 800 ready to withstand the rigours of gigging and transportation.
"The MB800 has raised the bar in micro-amp technology, and has pushed itself into a new classification. With its impressive features and extremely compact package, this amp has few equals... When you see its small footprint and hear this monster roar, you will be amazed... So if your back is tired of carting around a huge amp head, your search for a lighter alternative may have ended here." - Premier Guitar
