The Tennessee Mandolin is equipped with both single-coil and piezo pickups. This provides you with both an electric and enhanced acoustic tone, letting you deliver a truly captivating and natural performance.
While its DMT series single-coil captures the vibrations from just the strings to deliver that classic Dean crunch, the DMT Piezo captures the sound created within the hollow body. This results in a beautiful acoustic sound that you can either use by itself, or blend with the pickup for an incredibly dynamic performance.
Reliable and Tonally Rich Construction
Crafted from a maple body with a classic spruce top, the Dean Mandolin delivers a beautifully bright, dynamic tone suitable for a variety of genres. The additional f-holes provides your performance with a slight acoustic character, letting the natural sonic qualities of the woods shine.
You also get an incredibly comfortable playing feel from the fingerboard's flat radius. This makes it ideal for chords as you don't require much force to hold all the strings down.
