Grand Symphony

The Taylor 616ce features a grand symphony body shape, which delivers a rich, powerful acoustic voice. It can be compared to a grand auditorium body shape, yet features a powerful boost thanks to its expanded physical dimensions of a slightly wider waist and a bigger lower bout. The grand symphony body shape is an ideal choice for strummers, pickers and dynamic players, due to its fullness, volume and sustain.The Taylor offers excellent dynamics and expression, thanks to its maple back and side panels topped with solid sitka spruce wood. The sitka spruce is also given a special seasoning process called torrefaction, a method of roasting the wood to produce an aged tonal character with greater acoustic resonance and responsiveness.

Venetian Cutaway

The Venetian Cutaway is renowned for its soft, round lines, creating a visually stunning look that is recognisable on any body. This type of cutaway allows easier access to the upper frets for a comfortable play, and enables you with more freedom throughout the fingerboard.

Excellently Redesigned Nuances

For the 616ce's redesigned shape, Taylor have added a range of design nuances that will change how it looks and feels. The use of protein glues optimises the tonal transfer between key wood components and an ultra-thin, 3.5-mil gloss finish to minimise dampening. The back of the guitar features a beautiful violin-hued appearance without adding extra thickness to the finish thanks to the new, hand-rubbed "Brown Sugar" stain on the back and sides.

Unique Bracing Pattern

The Advance performance bracing pattern features customised bracing profiles and placement for each body shape to optimise their inherent strengths. This bracing pattern uses side braces as well as the standard setup, adding rigidity and helping to maximise both top and back movement. The overall effect is an enhanced midrange, sustain, and tone that features plenty of warmth.

The Perfect Guitar Neck

For ultimate playability and peace of mind, the 616ce Deluxe feature Taylor's unique NT neck design. The NT neck was designed to give players a straighter, more stable guitar neck, resistant to common problems such as changes in humidity.
