View Full DescriptionTakamine has pioneered the use of uncommonly artistic and complex inlays on guitars for the common man. They have developed the art of design and the craft of precise inlay work far beyond the capability of most other guitar manufacturers. If you look closely at Takamine Rosettes and Inlays, you can see the highly visible reminder of their commitment to excellence on every part of their guitars.
Takamine use a combination of Kiln and air drying to bring their woods into the most stable state to build your guitar. They also let glued parts like necks and braced soundboards rest between operations to relieve internal stresses. Takamine guitars have what you can call a "modified 'C' shape" - thin from front to back, medium in width, with a gentle fingerboard arch and common opinion is that this shape is comfortable and ergonomic for barre and open chords, fingerstyle patternd and soloing.
