Alvarez offer a guitar line dedicated to the Jazz and Blues genre, paying special attention to tone, detail and quality. This Parlor shaped guitar is slightly smaller than an average sized guitar. The Parlor shape offers a balanced tone with a powerful projection, and also delivers a perfect mid-range tone. This type of body shape has recently had a resurgence with modern players, due to its versatility and compact size, making it a favourite with travelling musicians. Its compact size also accommodates fingerpicking players, as its nipped in waist means it can be held closer to the body.

Creating the Perfect Tone

Crafted from a solid A grade sitka spruce top, along with a mahogany body, the Alvarez Delta00/TSB Acoustic Guitar offers a traditional appearance and a superb tone. This stunning sitka spruce top has been especially hand selected from quarter-sawn wood, and produces a crisp, versatile tone suitable for many styles of playing. The Delta00/TSB Acoustic produces a powerful, direct and un-muddied sound and will retain its clarity when you strum hard. As well as sitka spruce, mahogany is also a dense wood that is capable of delivering a a warm and woody tone with a slightly emphasised mid range. Mahogany also offers a balanced tone that accommodates a versatile range of different playing styles, and is a great choice for those looking for one instrument that can handle many styles from fingerstyle to strumming. This beautiful combination of tonewoods offers ideal qualities for Jazz and blues players.

Neck Profile

As well as providing you with the perfect tone for playing Jazz and Blues, the Alvarez Delta00/TSB Acoustic Guitar features a soft V neck profile which offers fluid hand flexibility. This type of neck profile also makes it easier and more ergonomic to reach certain chords, as it allows the players fingers to be perpendicular to the fretboard, overall giving you more accuracy and clarity, perfect for fingerpicking.

Bracing

Alvarez's Jazz and Blues series maintain their vintage heritage by featuring a back shifted, scalloped bracing that offers a more modern style of projection. This type of bracing not only enhances the sound projection, but also provides a continuous flow of strength across the soundboard and around the sound hole.

Real Bone Nut

The Delta00/TSB Acoustic Guitar also features a real bone nut, which maintains its authentic appearance and offers excellent resonance and sustain. These plain steel strings feature hexagonal cores made of revolutionary NY High Carbon Steel. Manufactured in New York, these newly engineered, break-resistant, high-carbon strings deliver unprecedented strength and pitch stability.
