The Dean Caidie, is constructed with solid tonewoods throughout. Its mahogany body provides the core sound of warmth and resonance, topped with a stunning caidie flat-top to provide a deep wood-grain and classy aesthetic that'll look great on stage. The neck is also mahogany and adds sustain, while the solid rosewood fingerboard provides note articulation and resonance.
Comfortable Playing Experience
The AXS Exotic features a single cutaway design which, by its nature, provides comfortable contours to sit down and play with. Its cutaway allows easier access to the top-end of the fingerboard, while the C profile neck sits comfortably in the left hand to make it easy when sitting for long sessions practising or performing. The fingerboard features a 12" radius which is quite flat and allows a low-action string-height setup; providing easier left-hand fingering which is especially handy when you're still getting to grips with the guitar, or if you have a long session up-ahead.
On-Board Electronics
The Dean AXS Exotic Cutaway features a DMT SL3 pickup and preamp system which lets you take your acoustic tone to the stage or recording studio. It gives you direct acoustic signal and is perfect for plugging into an acoustic amp or PA system. The preamp features a 3-Band EQ so you can tweak the tone to match you personal preference and the environment. The included tuner is a welcome addition and is an ideal feature for live use, where you only have seconds to tune in-between songs.
