The Kit

The SJC Custom shell pack comes with a 22'' x 18'' bass drum for drummers that want sonic boom levels of projection and punch. 6-ply North American maple shells with triple-flanged hoops provide warm, expressive and open sounds.

Proprietary M5 Shells

The proprietary M5 shells are built from dense North American maple. This solid grain offers the powerful tone that excels in today's modern music. With dense, thick plies these shells burst with warm vintage character. The overtones are well-controlled, leaving you with a punchy and focused attack. They cut with crisp precision. You'll have no trouble with modern pop and indie styles, the SJC Custom inspires passionate playing.

The M5 shells are the result of years of rigorous testing by the SJC team. With 6-ply toms and an 8-ply bass drum, they provide enhanced resonance, ease of tuning, and an increased tonal range. Hand-honed bearing edges are cut to perfection to ensure exceptional attack qualities from the drum.

Hardware

Hand-cut SJC 45 bearing edges ensure that shells resonate and consistently stay in tune whilst producing more sustain and attack. The featured 2.3mm triple-flanged steel hoops encourage open and long sustain so that the tone-rich M5 shell can resonate freely. SJC Shield Lugs offer better tuning stability and adjustability than tube lugs, making the kit more versatile and dynamic.

With a great sound also comes a great aesthetic. The Kraken design gives the kit a distinctive image whilst maintaining its distinctively warm and smooth tone. The famous SJC badge is located on the front of the white ported resonant bass drum head, and proudly marks the kit as one of high quality manufacturing and craftsmanship.
